It has been said that the mission of sending the spacecraft was to take pictures of the moon and to conduct experiments. But the mission was not fulfilled in Israel.
The spacecraft tried to reach the last orbit of 15 kilometers from the moon surface after the seven-week journey. But in a short time it collapsed and communication was lost.

Earlier Russia, the United States and China had made successful attempts to send spacecraft to the moon. Israel wanted to name itself as the fourth country in that list.

On February 22, the Capitol began to fly from Cap Canaverral in Florida to the moon.
